My Story
Jonathan has been mixing sound for venues, including theatres, churches and schools, since the age of 14. He designed his first sound system in his secondary school (age 15) and was re-engaged by them two years later for a new venue system installation. Completing his sixth form education (Long Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge) in 2021, he immediately started to work for his former college performing arts department before moving to Hills Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge, as Theatre Technician in early 2022. Work here included supporting the "Robinson Theatre" for both internal and external events. In 2023, he started at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

He continues to work freelance with the National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT), RADA, Cambridge Theatre Company (CTC), Stagecoach Performing Arts as well as specific projects for live events (and online broadcasts) with schools and churches and a range of other venues, such as the Grand Arcade in Cambridge for their 'Christmas lights switch on'. Most of his freelance work is return business.

Jonathan will complete the RADA foundation degree in Technical Theatre and Stage Management (with specialism in sound) in July 2025 and has numerous sound design and production sound engineer credits (see Jonathan's RADA profile here). He has recently completed a placement at the Dominion Theatre (The Devil Wears Prada).
